Women in Mining Zimbabwe

Women in Mining Zimbabwe (WIM Zimbabwe) is a national youth-serving organization committed to empowering women and youth across the mining sector. We are the proud brainchild of the International Women in Mining, now known as the International Women in Mining Alliance.

We support minepreneurship, mentorship, innovation, research, formalisation, financial inclusion, and incubation—covering the entire mining value chain, from exploration to processing and marketing. We are actively removing children from mining pits, supporting their return to school, and promoting safe, inclusive spaces. Through campaigns on gender equity, health, environmental stewardship, and responsible mining practices, we ensure that women and youth can thrive in a sustainable and just mining economy.
